The men-in-red lead by Virat Kohli will be competing to win their maiden title with a revitalised bowling line-up.
RCB’s explosive batting lineup is envied by even the most successful IPL teams. The powerhouse comprising Kohli and ABD has gone a step further with the inclusion of Finch. The presence of quality swing bowlers will help them in their opening overs. Dube and Morris could do some explosive finishing which was a major grey area in RCB lineup all these years.
Lack of a stable Indian middle order will haunt them if the top order batsmen fail to anchor. Also, the death bowling which was a major concern has been cemented close with Steyn and Morris. But still with Finch and ABD at the top, only 2 more foreign could impact the Steyn-Morris combo if they include Moen Ali in the middle to bring balance. Lack of an experienced Indian death bowler is again an area of concern for RCB.
Trump card – Dale Steyn
On any given day, this guy could break the stumps before the batsman could lift the bat. Given that Steyn stays fit through the series, Rcb is sure to make it to the playoffs.
