Expected outcome: Liverpool 3 – 2 Arsenal

The blockbuster of Gameweek 3 is this game at Anfield. Arsenal will travel to the Merseyside and will try to do the impossible, which is taking three points from Liverpool at home. So far both teams have played two and won two. Liverpool defeated Leeds and Chelsea Whereas Arsenal defeated Fulham and West Ham.

Arsenal are on a streak, they have been clinical ever since the FA cup win against Chelsea at Wembley. They also defeated Fulham on opening day without much difficulty. Their second fixture was a London derby, West Ham put on a fight and Arsenal will be extremely happy to get the three points simply because West Ham weren’t the best team for most parts of the game. Arsenal Manager Arteta should take credit for the transformation which is being witnessed by the way Arsenal play.

One of the important things to notice is that Arsenal has been victorious twice against Liverpool since the lockdown. Liverpool will know this isn’t going to be as easy as it was against Chelsea a week back. Liverpool wasn’t showing their clinical ability until the first half of the Chelsea game. They had a brilliant second half and also showed their capacity to hurt opponents at will during the EFL cup game as well.

Liverpool’s Defensive wall Virgil Van Dijk will be cautious as to not produce another mistake as his mistake proved costly in the Emirates previous season. Liverpool front three have produced great games against Arsenal in recent times and would like to continue that. Arsenal Talisman Aubameyang is in great form. Although the encouraging factor will be Lacazette is finding his scoring form back along with the young forward Nketiah

If this game is anywhere closer to the other two games that were played since the restart, we are going to have a blockbuster of a contest
