Chennai Super Kings

IPL 2020 is at the halfway mark and the second round of games begin from this match. CSK played seven matches and won two while losing five. CSK’s opening batsman look reliable while their middle-order is unstable and leads to pressure at death. CSK had already played against Sunrisers and lost the match by ten runs. Addition of Jagadeesan has boosted their middle order and will be frutifull in the later half of the tournament. Also, CSK’s team combination looks balanced and settled now. Shardul, Curran and Chahar are also striking well with the ball regularly.

Possible – 11

Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Faf du Plessis, Narayan Jagadeesan, Sam Curran, MS Dhoni (C & WK), Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Karn Sharma.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Warner’s yellow army has won three out of their seven games in this tournament. Their team combination looks well balanced comparitively. Lack of power hitters at the lower order is their only concern. Natarajan’s death over yorkers cramps the opponent batsman for room to play. With his presence, the absence of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has not been felt yet. Basil Thampi is expected to replace Sandeep Sharma. They clash with CSK again in the same venue and it could be a slight advantage to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Possible – 11

Johnny Bairstow (WK), David Warner (C), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Vijay Shankar, Priyam Garg, Abishek Sharma, Rashid Khan, T Natarajan, Basil Thampi, Khaleel Ahmed.

Match prediction

The second match between these two teams in the same venue. This game is almost a must win for CSK to stay alive in the road to playoffs. CSK will come down with the same energy and are looking more settled right now.

Chennai Super Kings has an edge in this interesting clash.
