Mumbai Indians

Day by day, the performance of the defending champions is increasing. The world-class batting of De Cock and Rohit duo is destructing the opposition bowlers. In case of failure of the opening duo, Surya Kumar, Ishan Kishan and Pollard provide the anchor with their master class performance. The seamers strike the opponent batsman at regular intervals and create the pressure in the opposition batting unit. MI is the only terrific and well-balanced team in this IPL season. And by destroying KKR, they continue their stay as the table-toppers.

Possible – 11

Rohit Sharma (C), Quinton de Kock (WK), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Kieran Pollard, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah.

Kings XI Punjab

After the return of the universal boss, the team registered their second victory this season. The absence of a stable middle order is the only drawback for the team. After the opening duo,  there is a massive void in the batting lineup. It was quite a nail-biting match in their last game despite being in the driver seat. The bowling unit also remains a worry for the campaign. Mohammed Shami and M Ashwin must be on their best for KXIP to think about victory.

Possible – 11

Kl Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Glen Maxwell, Mandeep Singh, Deepak Hooda, Mohammad Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Chris Jordan.

Match prediction

With one foot already into playoffs, MI will be experimenting with other players and managing the work load of players. While Punjab virtually out of competition will try to win their remaining matches to qualify on NRR. So KXIP will be looking to win by a huge margin against such a mammoth team. Will that happen? No, we don’t think so. Stay tuned.

Mumbai Indians will have an edge to win this match
