Chennai Super Kings

Virtually out of this IPL, CSK could experiment their bench strength or give chances to young prospects to experience the big stage. Though the team is out of its race to playoffs, this weekend game is one of the must watch games. The rivalry between these teams speaks for itself. CSK’s batsmen need to put up a solid show for the team to win against such a dominant MI. The failure of the batsman has hurt em too badly and led to their exit from this seasons knockouts. Can CSK win this classic rivalry?

Possible – 11

Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Faf du Plessis, Narayan Jagadeesan, Sam Curran, MS Dhoni (C & WK), Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Karn Sharma.

Mumbai Indians

After losing on the second super, which occurred for the first time in cricketing history, Rohit and his men will be hungry to get 2 points and move back the top of the table. Despite losing 3 wickets in quick succession within 40 runs, MI managed to score around 180. This shows how strong the unit is in its batting depth. When it comes to the bowling unit , have no doubt the pace trio of MI ranks first this season. This IPL’s most well-settled team, will go on an all-out attack to avenge their loss in the opening game against CSK.

Possible – 11

Rohit Sharma (C), Quinton de Kock (WK), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Kieran Pollard, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah.

Match prediction

The stakes are always high when these two teams go head to head. The two best teams in the history of IPL go one-on-one again this Friday. Will MI get their revenge for their opening loss? Or will CSK provide fans a consoling win? We believe MI will be the better side in this clash considering their recent form.

Mumbai Indians has an edge in this interesting clash.
