Temba Bavuma I South Africa captain: I think it is a confidence booster for us. We have found a way to get over the line – something we have missed in the past. There’s still a lot of cricket to go in the series. I think we have the conversations to finish well even though it gets harder to bat at the back end. We are striving for close to 180 and if not, we believe in our bowlers to take us home. Aiden is more than a part-timer, and it was good to have him, so it’s nice to have the extra option. Shammo (Shamsi) needs to control that middle-overs for us, and he has been doing that. George Linde has been learning too, but Shammo has been magnificent. These guys are not the World Champions for nothing, so we can’t take them lightly, so we must keep turning up and executing our skills.

Kieron Pollard I West Indies captain: It has plagued us over the two games, and we need to get the chase right. We had a lot of dots and didn’t capitalize on a good start. We couldn’t get over the line despite starts, and we have to find a way, that’s it. We have close matches, some you win, some you lose. We need to find a way to win. The bowlers have been fantastic, you can’t find fault in their efforts. Both teams have got off to good starts, but Obed and Bravo have executed well to restrict SA to 167. Obed had a brilliant series last year, and to continue that these series show that he’s growing. It’s just a matter of getting across the line from the next game.
