Glamorgan vs Warwickshire

The other match of Royal London one day cup will be between Glamorgan and Warwickshire at the Sophia Garden Cricket Ground, Cardiff. The pitch at Sophia Gardens offers to both the batsmen and the bowlers. Bowlers have to maintain a good line and length to get the wickets, while the batters have to spend some time, before changing the gears. The captain winning the toss should look to put the opposition in to bat first upon winning the toss, as the chasing teams have won the majority of the games played at the venue.

Glamorgan had a very bad campaign in the T20 blast, finishing last in the standings, winning just 3 games out of their 14 matches. With regular captain Chris Cooke and vice-captain David Lloyd away at The Hundred, Kiran Carlson will captain Glamorgan Cricket in the Royal London Cup. They will also be missing the services of Colin Ingram, Timm van der Gugten and Dan Douthwaite, who are all also a part of The Hundred.

Explosive New Zealand batsman Hamish Rutherford will join the side as a replacement for Australian all-rounder Marnus Labuschagne. Although they have plenty of talented domestic players available in their circuit.
