Will Spurs be trophy less again or a new beginning

The last season for Spurs was very questionable and for various reasons. The Club’s last season was looking strong, they had a good squad but they still somehow were trophyless. Even Jose Mourinho couldn’t save the club, a manager who has at least won one trophy with every team he has managed.

Spurs is a team that no doubt is one of the top clubs in the EPL but will they survive the tough competition of PL in the coming season?

Squad

Now regarding the squad of this season Spurs won’t be having Gareth Bale this season who had a fairly good season. He returned to the club on a one-year loan contract and it seemed like the contract would have been extended but the club let him go. Aside from Bale Spurs have their stars them being Son Heung-min, Delle Ali, Harry Kane though Harry Kane’s future is questionable.

 Future of Harry Kane

The first question that comes to mind when thinking about the future of Spurs is will Harry Kane continue or will he finally leave the club. Now recently Harry Kane has made it clear that he wants to leave the club and it is something that is not shocking because of Spurs trophyless streak and Harry Kane being a top-class player who seeks more trophies for his name and worth to grow but staying at Tottenham isn’t going to help.

 Gameplay

Spurs last season being under Jose Mourinho focused more on the parking the bus strategy but the issue lies in the Spurs has now again brought in a defensive style manager. So we could be seeing a lot of similarities to the last season.

New Signings

As of now Spurs only have two signings. A promising young talent Bryan Gil and the Argentinian and Atlanta defender Cristian Romero . The Spanish winger Bryan Gil was signed at 25 million but also the deal included Eric Lamela going the other way. The deal so far looks good for Spurs but let’s see how youngster performs for the team. As for Cristian Romero the defender was signed for 55 million. The defender is a Copa Winner and is very promising

Spurs squad still doesn’t have depth but it’s something that the club can work on with their new manager. It will be fun to watch Spurs next season and see where their new manager takes them. Will Spurs finally break the trophyless curse under Nuno Espirito Santo or will the club remain the same.
