What makes Benzema one of the best in the World?

After Ronaldo’s departure, Karim Benzema has finally gotten the recognition he deserves in World Football. The French forward has stepped up since then and has been the club’s best performer for the past three years. His consistent performances with Real Madrid have seen Benzema enter the debate of being the best striker in the World alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski, etc.

Benzema’s time at Real Madrid saw him play a deeper role, accomodating Ronaldo’s inward movements and tendency to stay in the box.

Benzema’s ability to work with Ronaldo and surpass other competition can be seen during his time at Madrid. Benzema has been the highest assist provider for Ronaldo (47). Though he may not have been the best player at Madrid, he continued to be a crucial part of the team. He helped the team win 3 La-Ligas, 3 UEFA super cups, 4 Champions Leagues, 4 FIFA Club World Cups, and other domestic trophies.

Consistency is the key to Karim Benzema’s success. Ever since he signed for Madrid in the summer of 2009, he has been delivering the good’s at the biggest club in the world despite all the competition. He’s averaging almost a goal contribution in every game that he has played at the Merengues.

While critics argue that Benzema’s statistics are impressive because he plays for the biggest club in Spain and has not performed against quality oppositions, his performances in the Champions League speaks for themselves.

Despite being excluded from the national team for five years, Benzema performed exceptionally well for Les Bleus scoring four goals in the tournament in the most demanding fixtures. Greatness is written all over his name.
