ENGLAND VS BANGLADESH MATCH REVIEW

The 20th match of the world cup is going to be played between England and Bangladesh. One can expect this match to be intense as both the teams have very promising line ups. We are talking about J. Buttler vs M. Rahim, M. Ali vs S. AL. Hasan and more such battles are going to be very entertaining to watch.

ENGLAND

England will be stepping into the field with immense confidence and momentum on their side after not just defeating but humiliating West Indies in their previous match.

They got West Indies all out at the score of 55. Every bowler bagged a wicket and the star was Adil Rashid who took 4 wickets in just 14 balls and Moen Ali who completely baffled their top order by picking 2 wickets in his first spell.

They chased the score easily in 9 overs and with 6 wickets remaining in hand. Buttler played a 24 not out knock. He holds the key to England batting lineup, a quality T20 batsman.

BANGLADESH

Bangladesh failed to defend a total of 170 against Sri Lanka in their previous match, thus had to start the campaign of super 12 with a loss.

The sign of relief for Bangladeshi fans was the way M. Nain and M. Rahim batted, scoring 62 and 57* respectively. This reduces the pressure on Shakib’s shoulder now that the batting order seems more reliable.

they were pretty good with the ball as well but the 2 catches dropped by Liton Das cost them the match. Mustafizur Raham almost got them the breakthrough they wanted if the catches wouldn’t have been dropped.

Pitch Report

It is very evident that pitch at Sharjah is more helpful for the spinners, so the likes of Shakib and Adil will definitely reap the benefit out of it. As the match progress, it will not get easy to bat so how well the teams capitalize on the power play will matter a lot.

Key players

  1. Jos Buttler-

Without a doubt, he is the best T20 batsman as far as England is considered. He is a perfect package with a variety of shots and top-level athleticism. He is a must-have pick in your dream team as he will give you points with bat and gloves as well.

2. Mushifiqur Rahim-

He played a blasting knock of 57* in 37 balls with a strike rate of 154. He will play a crucial role in anchoring the innings if somehow the top order fails. He will also look to stand till last and end the game in favour of his team.

3. Adil Rashid-

Adil Rashid took the wickets of K. Pollard and A. Russell in the previous game. If he can do that in pitches of Dubai then imagine yourself how impactful he will be in Sharjah. Leg spinners have the ability to take wickets at any point of the match and that’s what Rashid do for England.
