The IPL fever has already begun, with players from various teams being retained and released. The proposed date for the IPL 2022 season has been released, and cricket fans are eager to learn the details. Following the completion of the IPL 2022 Auction, the BCCI is likely to make a major statement on the unveiling of the new IPL 15 schedule.

  • About the schedule

The Indian Premier League will hold its 15th season in 2022. As previously stated, the first phase of the season has already been completed, with teams announcing the players who will be retained and those who will be dismissed. The official board will also announce the official dates for the next steps, which include the auction or the start date for IPL matches.

Many sports experts have speculated on the projected dates for the IPL 2022 calendar because there is no official information about the schedule at this time. Matches in the IPL are usually held in April and May. The IPL 2022 is expected to begin in either late March or early April 2022, according to current estimates. IPL fans are now waiting for the final match schedule.

  • Two New Teams

Lucknow and Ahmedabad are two new teams in the IPL. The RPSG Group purchased the Lucknow franchise for more than INR 7000 crores in an auction, while a private CVC Capital business purchased the Ahmedabad franchise for approximately INR 6000 crores.

Even before the clubs could settle on a name, controversy emerged when CVC Capital was accused of sports betting and nearly lost ownership of the franchise. The BCCI, on the other hand, has not yet initiated any legal action, and it is thought that CVC Capital will be granted the green light.

  • The Mega Auction

The auction dates for the IPL 2022 are yet to be announced. It is predicted to happen in the first week of February 2022, however. During the IPL 2022 super auction, many international and domestic players will be up for grabs. The IPL 2022 big auction will be a two-day extravaganza with all the flash and glam, just like the 2018 mega auction.

The IPL 2022 salary pool has been expanded to Rs. 90 crore for each team. Previously, each franchise’s pay pool was Rs. 85 crores in the IPL 2021. Each of the eight teams can keep four, three, two, one, or no players. When they choose one of these options, however, they will be charged the appropriate amount from their paycheck.
