Is the colossal Madrid the next destination for the marvelous Kylian Mbappe?

France’s poster boy Kylian Mbappé is on the brink of his contract completion with PSG at the end of the season. Two of the favourites if he leaves the Ligue 1 champions are Real Madrid, whom he rejected two of their bids of over €150 million, and most recently, Liverpool. But the French star confirmed that if he had decided his future, he would have announced it already. “I haven’t decided about my future yet, I’m cool. I want to take my time because I don’t want to get it wrong. I am thinking about it because there are new elements—lots of things, new parameters. There are a lot of parameters to take into consideration. I’m trying to figure it out with my family to make the right decision.” Mbappé said, per ESPN.

The PSG top scorer also hinted that he could continue with the Parisians, who are currently offering him a massive counter offer against the Galacticos, reportedly €50 million per year plus €100 million signing bonus plus a significant amount of loyalty bonus might as well be added.

The future Ballon D’or winner has already scored 30 goals for the Parisians across all competitions, with 24 in Ligue 1 and 6 in the UEFA Champions League. But missed out on the all-important European glory and fell in the Round of 16 to Real Madrid in the 2nd half of the 2nd leg at the Santiago Bernabéu courtesy of a Karim Benzema hattrick, blowing out a 2-0 lead with Mbappé scoring both the goals.

However, he did get a warm reception in Madrid when he came onto the pitch to a massive round of applause. This might tempt him to join Madrid and follow his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Madrid in 2009.

Adding fire to the fuel, he was spotted in The Spanish a couple of days ago with fellow PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi with whom the 23-year-old posted a picture on Instagram sparking speculations. This high-profile move might see him play alongside the likes of Vinicius JR and Karim Benzema.

Liverpool has previously been linked with a move for Mbappé and even tried to sign him as an 18-year-old before he switched from Monaco to the French capital after making a name for himself in the Champions League at such a young age. However, Moving to Madrid or staying put at PSG now seems the most likely outcome.

Amidst all the outside noise, Mbappé’s mother said, “There is no agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain or any other club,” she said. “Discussions around Kylian’s future continue in great serenity to allow him to make the best choice, in respect of all the parties.”

So what do you think will be the best for the French superstar at such a young age? Sticking with the MMN trio or having exposure to other competitive European leagues?
