The German side didn’t let up in the second half as we saw muller scoring a half-volley and two goals in two minutes from Timo Werner put Germany out of sight. Italy scored twice late in the second half through Gnonto and Bastoni, but it was too late for the European champions.

As the competition went ahead, we saw a humble Belgium team beat Poland 1-0 at the Stadion Naradowy. As both the team lacked quality in the final third, a single goal was enough to separate both sides.

Belgium took an early lead in the game as a beautiful cross by Youri Tielemans was headed home by Michy Batshuayi. A header from the centre of the box to the far bottom-right corner to beat the polish goalkeeper. Both the teams later on in the match tried to up the tempo of the game but fell flat every time they tried to build an attack from the back or in a transition.

This win saw the Belgium team strengthening their position in the 2nd spot after their humiliating defeat against the Netherlands, while Poland sat in the 3rd spot with 3 points shy of the Belgium team.
