Jules Kounde: Will Barcelona bring the outstanding defender home?

A shocking exit from the Champions League and Europa league meant it was another trophyless season for FC Barcelona. As a countereffect, Xavi is keen on building something beautiful and memorable in terms of ‘Tiki-Taka’ football once again at the Camp Nou, which in turn leads to signing great players and getting good performances.

After creating an overhaul of exit and departures of players this season, Laporta and Xavi have to be pinpointed in their big signings, as they cannot afford another abysmal transfer window, which will lead to hampering the development of the current transition phase of the team.

We all are well-equipped with the famous quote said by the legendary hall of fame coach Sir Alex Ferguson, “Attack wins you matches, but Defense wins you titles.” So, to achieve glory in present times, you have to be immaculate and rock-solid in Defense to exploit the other teams by being rigid and sometimes flexible.

THE VERSATILITY OF KOUNDE

Jules kounde is a young defensive prospect for Sevilla, and France is a versatile defender who can play as a centre-back, right-wing back, and right-back.

The Frenchman is a plus point for every team and has an interest in some of Europe’s finest football teams, such as FC Barcelona, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

Regular international football for France’s national team has filled in a lot of potential and experience in him. He can also be a future captain for any squad and can play in a Highline as well as a low block defense.

Sevilla would love to earn a considerable amount of money from their star, or we can also see a possible contract extension, but a move to Barca is much more likely for the Frenchman.

BARCELONA’S CURRENT TRANSFER TARGET

According to multiple sources, Barca is leading the race to sign the Frenchman as Xavi loves Kounde and looks up to him as a future Barcelona defensive star and, most importantly, who will replace one of the best defenders in the whole world Gerrard Pique.

Also, the Frenchman has settled in Spain and would love a move that would still make it possible for him to play his favourite Spanish football. Sevilla being an on-ball team and playing a little like Barca will make it an easy task for him to adjust to the system.

With the signing of Andreas Christensen and the extension of Ronald Araujo, the addition of Jules Kounde will be the final piece of Xavi’s top-rated centre-backs. The following season will be crucial for Barca as another season without glory will affect them financially as well as emotionally and will take them one more year without the champions league trophy.

If Barcelona successfully signs Jules Kounde, the backline would be sufficient enough to compete for the domestic titles and, if possible, the champions league also. Barcelona and their current young squad are pretty good enough, and with the signing of Kounde will be complete for the next season.

After a bunch of good signings this season and selling a lot of players, the current transfer market would be a successful one for Barca if they can complete the signings of Robert Lewandowski, Bernardo Silva, and Raphinha.

Xavi and his new-age Barcelona now has to live up to its billing. Time has all the answers wrapped in it, so let’s see if the season turns out to be a Utopian football for Barcelona or their woes to stay away from the trophy continues.
